The word “Khanqah” finds its origins in the Persian language and is used to define a place of spiritual teaching through discourses on spirituality by a murshid (spiritual mentor, or guide). It also serves as a common place where the message of communal harmony is imparted.
WHAT IS KHANQAH
A place of peace and harmony where the tomb of The Great fame Saint named Shah Azam Afaque Qalandar alaihirrahman also famous as Qalandar e barhaq.
It is a khanquah situated at azmi nagar, circle road, jale(near shankar chauk).
Every year on 11 jamdiussani a urs takes place with kuran khani and fatiha sharif, qawwali, chadar poshi and jalsa which is organised by Sajjada Nasheen Sufi Ghulam Mustafa khan Sabri who is the son of Huzoor Shah Azam Afaque Qalandar AlaihirRahman & the members of khanquah committee۔ It is a well maintained place where anyone can have peace.
